Who they are

It’s Wild! Bushcamps are an ecotourism partnership between the local communities and the local NGO Community Markets for Conservation (COMACO). All the bushcamps are majority owned by the local community and employ local community members. Your stay helps support COMACO’s sustainable income producing activities such as rice, soya-bean, and vegetable farming, poultry farming and, organic beekeeping. All these activities help to reduce poaching and provide food-secure alternative livelihoods to local villagers.

What they offer

It’s Wild! Bushcamps offer privacy and serenity, limited to only two chalets per bushcamp with two beds per chalet, which can be joined as a double. Protective fencing surrounds each bushcamp and chalets are located underneath shade trees with open-view windows to give you that special closeness to nature.

The It’s Wild Bushcamps are home to a wide diversity of fauna and flora, Eavesdrop on the nightly conversation of hippos and oberve a wide variety of species up close and personal.

The Luangwa Valley has more than 400 of Zambia’s 732 species of birds, including 39 birds of prey and 47 migrant species. There are also an abundance of animals such as zebras, elephants, puku, warthogs, black-spotted hyenas, elands, Cookson wildebeests, kudu, Thorneycroft’s giraffe, leopards, and of course, lions.

Guests are accompanied on walking safaris by well trained, armed escorts, and safari guides who interpret and enhance the safari experience.
