Bolivia

boliviaBolivia is economically the poorest country in South America, but it is among the richest when it comes to natural resources and culture. As the most indigenous country in South America, there is a wealth of cultural knowledge and experiences awaiting any interested and aware traveller. With an indigenous president, indigenous issues are now publically discussed, and cultural curiosity by travellers is often welcomed. With breathtaking scenery, including snow capped mountain ranges, rugged terrain and the world famous Uyuni salt flats, Bolivia is an ideal destination for thrill seekers. For nature lovers, the Amazon is accessible in the north. And for those interested in history and mythology, Lake Titicaca awaits. Bolivia can be hectic and at times uncomfortable (bring a blanket/sleeping bag for the long bus rides!), but it is a fascinating country, and if you make an effort to explore it properly, you will be richly rewarded.

What’s the difference?
