Peru


Peru When people think of South America, they often imagine beaches, jungle, snow capped mountains, interesting cultures, fantastic ruins, and great trekking. In reality, you could just be talking about Peru! This diverse country has so much to offer that you will find it incredibly difficult to choose where to go. From the coast, to the Andes and beyond to the Amazon, Peru has an endless supply for fascinating, intriguing and unique cultures, landscapes and experiences. Whether you spend your time trying to decipher the Nazca lines, examining Inca ruins, trekking across the spectacular Andes, travelling through the jungle in a canoe, or relaxing on the beach, you will never be bored with Peru. Keep in mind that Peru is an incredibly popular destination, and that it is definitely worth your while to make the effort to get away from the gringo trail and discover the lesser known parts of this fascinating country.

Organisations are not-for-profits that work with communities to promote their initiatives and is a good place to look for volunteering opportunities. Travel agencies are ethical for-profits that work with communities to promote their programs and tours worldwide.
